Parents and guardians are invited to attend an informational presentation on Tuesday, April 29th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Junior High School LRC. The evening will focus on the district’s transition to Competency Based Education (CBE) and how it differs from traditional grading practices.
This presentation will provide insight into the CBE model, which emphasizes students’ mastery of learning objectives and offers a more personalized approach to education. Attendees will learn how this model supports student growth, encourages meaningful feedback, and promotes a deeper understanding of academic content.
Families from all three schools are encouraged to attend, though the information will be especially helpful for those with students at Prairieview and Lakeview, where the transition will have the most immediate impact.
District staff will be available to explain the transition, answer questions, and discuss what families can expect as these changes are implemented.
