TEAM 66 News with book logo that reads together everyone achieves more

A message from the TEAM 66 Education Foundation...

We are thrilled to provide an update on a few of the approved grants!  We appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that is required to ensure a successful implementation.  We are looking forward to many more amazing grants this school year!

Community Garden
- A raised garden bed was assembled and second grade students received a peat pot, soil, and seeds to grow their own plant to add to this garden.  Students learned about the needs of plants and took turns caring for the plants under the grow lights.  Each student was able to grow a plant to add to the butterfly garden. The butterfly garden was in full bloom this summer and you can visit the garden at Elizabeth Ide!

Decodable Readers and Number Racks - Each first grade teacher received 25 number racks and an emergent reader set.  These items were implemented as soon as they arrived.  Teachers use the number racks as a visual model to build number sense.  The decodable readers are used during guided reading to help students develop their phonemic awareness skills.  Way to go first grade!
